Welcome to this evenings match against East Cowes Vics. East Cowes agreed to play the game tonight as there is the big local derby tomorrow in the FA cup as Saints take on Pompy. We only played East Cowes a few weeks ago at the end of the big freeze and the game was in doubt, unfortunately for us it went ahead and we lost!!

The teams performances have been very mixed lately and tonight we need to get back on track. Many of you will be aware that the teams captain Callum Earl was taken to hospital with a serious knee injury at the Downton game, he will be out for many weeks and is a big lose to us. Lewi Corlett who is the reserves captain suffered a serious knee injury last week against, yep you guessed it Downton. He is currently in plaster and will also be a lose to the reserves. Who says lightening doesn’t strike twice. We all wish Callum and Lewi a speedy recovery.

So currently both teams are top of their leagues but there is still a long way to go and we need to keep up the momentum tonight to get us back on track.
Please give the team your support tonight and let’s hope for 3 more points

Colin

For our game this Friday evening we would like to extend a warm welcome to the players, officials and supporters of East Cowes Victoria to Long Lane. It is only a few weeks ago that we were deservedly beaten by this evenings opponents and I look forward to an entertaining game as we look to gain a better result in this return fixture
Since my last programme notes we have had mixed form and fortune. Wins against Hythe & Dibden, United Services Portsmouth, Farnborough NE and Portchester have been contrasted by losses against East Cowes Victoria, Downton and Stockbridge. Despite a recent loss of our early season form our previous quality and consistency still leaves us top of the league with a 12 point advantage on the team in second place
With thirteen league games remaining this season every game is crucial and we are looking to the players to respond well to our recent setbacks. We are looking to see the application, attitude and hard work from the team that has put us in a great position during this campaign and will enable a strong performance this evening
I hope you enjoy the match
Paul
